Man arrested for cutting high school girl’s skirt with scissors while on bus
Police in Fukuoka City have arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of property destruction after he cut a high school girl’s skirt with a pair of scissors while they were aboard a bus last November.
Police said Daisuke Iwamoto, a company employee, is accused of snipping a piece of the 15-year-old girl’s uniform while she was asleep in the seat beside him, Kyodo News reported.
Police said the girl didn’t realize that her skirt had ben cut until she got off the bus.
Iwamoto emerged as a suspect after bus surveillance camera footage showed him sitting next to the girl.
Police said Iwamoto has admitted to the allegation and quoted him as saying, “I was curious about the fabric and material used in the skirt worn by the girl sitting next to me, so I snipped off a piece with the scissors I had with me.”
