‘Don’t come out’: Residents urged to stay inside as bush fire erupts in Sydney’s south west
A grass fire erupted in Sydney with more than 80 firefighters sent in to tackle the blaze, which is beginning to get under control.
Fire crews are beginning to get two blazes in Sydney’s south west under control after earlier escalating to an emergency alert and telling residents it was “too late to leave”.
A grass fire erupted in Sydney’s south west on Wednesday afternoon, with thousands of residents warned to seek shelter.
More than 80 firefighters were sent in to tackle the blaze along Camden Valley Way in Liverpool towards Edmonson Park, as well as 20 fire trucks including Fire and Rescue NSW Bushfire Tankers and a Mobile Command Centre.
FRNSW have recommended people avoid the area, check the Hazards Near Me app and RFS website.
Meanwhile residents on Talarna Hill Drive to Jardine Drive were told it was too late to leave.
